Digital Marketing Strategy - Major

The Digital Marketing Strategy major is intentionally designed as a multidisciplinary and technology enhanced degree program. Students will sample digital-focused coursework from communications, media, visual design, marketing, leadership, and artificial intelligence. The program will give students basic knowledge in digital strategy while also providing practical skills for the job marketplace. Students will also receive professional certifications in advertising, paid media, content strategy, and analytics throughout the program.
As part of their degree program, students will also pursue an internship with a digital strategy agency or organization. Students will also work with real-life clients to discover, define, design, deploy, and optimize digital marketing strategy for their business (both for-profit and not-for-profit).
Student Learning Outcomes
Students will:
- Evaluate organizational opportunities that integrate digital strategy with the principles of business including marketing, communications, design, and leadership.
- Apply working knowledge of digital design and development through the application of social media, mobile technology, web analytics, search optimization, and viral advertising.
- Formulate, and effectively communicate, strategic and tactical digital campaign recommendations with appropriate user experience research and business justification.
- Analyze digital marketing tactics through effective quantitative and qualitative evaluation.
- Demonstrate ethical values, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and agile thinking to manage and lead digital project teams with a collaborative, equitable, and socially responsible mindset.

Core Curriculum Requirements
All Nazareth students complete Core Curriculum coursework as part of their degree requirements. The Core provides a foundation in the liberal arts and sciences while guiding students to pose and explore their own intellectual questions. Notes:
- As part of the core curriculum students complete three Integrative Studies (IS) courses, culminating in CME*050; students should consult with their advisor to determine their specific IS course selections. The third IS course should be completed spring semester, junior year.
- Students must complete 120 credits to earn a B.S. degree; 60 credits credits of which must be designated as liberal arts; some elective courses may need to be liberal arts courses in order to meet the 60 credit minimum.
