Required
Soc 101, 307, 352, and 444; three courses from the following basic substantive
areas: Soc 204, 314, 320, 409, 410; nine credits in sociology electives; Mth
207. The senior experience consists of a senior seminar (Soc 444) which integrates
material from sociology and other core areas of the college experience (history,
philosophy, religious studies, literature, natural sciences, mathematics, fine
arts), and a senior comprehensive.
Major may be combined with the Inclusive Education (Quadruple Certification
Grades 1-9) program.
Required
Introductory courses in four of the following: Anthropology, Economics,
Political Science, Psychology, Sociology; Ssc 444; a concentration of 12 credits
beyond the introductory course in one of the Social Science disciplines; 9 credits
upper-division from among the other four Social Science disciplines. A minimum
of three credits in each Social Science discipline, introductory or upper-division
is required. Anthropology concentration requires Mth 207, Soc 352, Ant 101,
102, 318 and two Ant upper-division electives. Economics concentration requires
Mth 207, Eco 101, 102, 333, 334; Eco 410, or Soc 352 and an Eco upper-division
elective. Political Science concentration requires Mth 207, Psc 201, Psc 352,
and three Psc upper-division electives. Psychology concentration requires Psy
101, 201, 202 and a course from two of the three areas in Psychology. Sociology
concentration requires Mth 207, Soc 101, Soc 352, two courses from these: Soc
204, 314, 320, 409 and 410; one Soc upper-division elective. The senior experience

A minor in Social Research is available to go with most majors (18 credits).
Required courses: Soc 352; Mth 207 or Psy 201; Cis 141 or 142; Eng 251 or 351;
Soc 432; and one of the following: Soc 313, 320 or 410.
A minor in Multicultural Studies (18 credits) is available to go with most
majors. Required courses: Ant 101, Mcs 444, and four courses selected from six
different geographic and cultural areas: Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle
East, Native North America, Western.
Minors in Sociology and Anthropology (18 credits).
