SWK 305 - Human Behavior and Social Environment II Covers the life course from conception through late adulthood and death. Promotes understanding of the ways social systems promote or deter health and well-being, and focuses upon the synergistic influences of the biological, psychological, spiritual, physical and sociocultural forces on human development. Provides a multidimensional perspective on human development and behavior based on theory and research. Examines contemporary challenges relevant to understanding human development at various life course phases and the potential for human resilience. Emphasizes human diversity and the reciprocal nature of interactions among individuals, families, and other systems in a multi-cultural society.
