PTR 627 - Musculoskeletal Management I This course prepares the student to evaluate, diagnose and treat common conditions of the musculoskeletal system. The student conducts a comprehensive physical examination, including the case history, medical screening, and assessment of impairments of the movement system. Common conditions encountered in orthopedic physical therapy practice are covered in depth. The patient management model, as presented in the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, serves as an organizational framework for patient management in a direct access healthcare environment. The lecture, laboratory, problem-based learning and clinical components of the course are integrated to optimize student learning.
Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisite: Successful completion of all prior required PT courses.
