MUS.Q 104 - Introduction to World Music

(Perspectives Enduring Questions) What in the world is music? What role does music play in various cultures? Why do I like certain kinds of music? This course introduces the musics of various non-Western cultures, with an emphasis of the various technical, cultural, and aesthetic features.

Prerequisites & Notes
Course Codes: ABR. This P(EQ) course counts as a PI, W, and G course. May also be offered as MUS.F*104, which has the same course content but is taught as a seminar for First Year students.
