students for generalist social work
practice with individuals,
families, groups,
communities, and
organizations. Emphasizes
practice with communities and
organizations.
Introduces students to the
work and termination
phases of practice. Interventions are considered
from a cross-cultural,
strength-based, community
collaborative perspective
across the five client
systems. Emphasizes interventions that focus on
empowerment of client systems
to address issues of
economic and social
justice. Considers roles such
as conferee, enabler, broker,
advocate, mediator,
and guardian.
