EDU 501 - Social Foundations of Education

This course encourages the development ofinterpretive, normative, and critical perspectiveson education. Students strengthen their capacitiesto examine, understand and evaluate educationalpolicies, institutional practices, and the rightsand responsibilities of all education partners.Conceptualizing education broadly to includeschool and non-school enterprises, this courseaims to deepen students’ awareness of the socialcontexts and implications of educationalactivities.
