Financial Planning - Minor

This minor is designed to prepare students for careers in Financial Planning and covers the coursework needed to pass the Certified Financial Planning (CFP) exam. The CFP Board will determine exam eligibility based on a review of the student’s academic transcript.

Note - based on strict CFP Board requirements, no course substitutions are permitted in this minor.

- FIN*481 replaces FIN*483 for Finance majors

Note - Students majoring in areas other than Finance may complete the Financial Planning minor, but must also complete: ECO.Q*102 or ECO*103 (formerly ECO.Q*101), plus ACT*209, ACT*341, ECO*330, ECO*332, FIN*349 and MGT*214.
