M.S. in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence

The M.S. in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence program is designed to prepare graduates to become those strategic leaders who are capable of leading diverse teams and implementing advanced analytics solutions that drive business innovation. By equipping students with AI and machine learning skills alongside traditional business analytics, Nazareth University is creating a pipeline of leaders who can respond to the evolving needs of businesses across all sectors. The uniqueness of this program lies in its incorporation of AI-driven insights into the traditional business analytics curriculum. As a result, students will possess the tools they need to leverage AI effectively across various business functions, including finance, marketing, supply chain, and operations. 

Program Format

Domestic Students - the program is offered in a HyFlex in-person format. This approach allows domestic students flexibility in attending either in-person or online.

International Students - to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program and U.S. Immigration regulations, international students will be required to attend in-person classes. International students must be present in New York State, enroll in at least 9 credits per semester, and can take only one 3-credit online course per semester.

  3. Official transcripts from all colleges attended
    • Applicants must have completed, or will be completing, a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a cumulative index of 3.0 and a “B” average in the major field by the start date of the desired term.
    • Applicants who do not meet these grade point average expectations must address them in their professional statement; please see the Professional Statement section of the admissions application for further information.
  4. Two letters of recommendation
  5. Interview with the program director or other university representative
  6. Resume

Student Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the M.S. in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence program will:

  1. Apply advanced statistical, analytical, and quantitative methods to analyze and interpret business data, employing tools such as Python and R for machine learning, regression analysis, and predictive modeling.
  2. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of business principles and apply AI-driven insights in key areas such as marketing, finance, supply chain, and operations.
  3. Communicate analytical findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences through data visualization, report writing, and presentations. 
  4. Leverage large datasets to address business problems, demonstrating responsible data considerations in data collection, privacy, and security.
  5. Exhibit skills in applying business analytics across multiple domains, fostering leadership in data-driven environments.
  6. Leverage large datasets to address business problems, demonstrating responsible considerations in data collection, privacy, and security, while gaining hands-on experience through collaborations with industry partners.

Capstone Experience (3 credits)


Students, per the guidelines below, complete one course.

  • Students studying online, or those who are otherwise unable to do an internship will complete the following integrative research project.

  • Credits: 3
