College of Interprofessional Health and Human Services

Dean: Catherine (Cathy) S. Rasmussen, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

The College of Interprofessional Health and Human Services encompasses a Creative Arts Therapy program with a specialization in Art Therapy (see also School of Music Creative Arts Therapy - Music Therapy Program ), as well as programs in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Social Work. Specialty interprofessional preparation programs include autism and early intervention.

The College’s diverse professional programs draw students looking for meaningful, service-oriented careers. These students are given the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, beginning by learning in the classroom about the field’s most recent developments in theory and research. Students are then challenged to put that knowledge to practical application in on-campus clinics, high tech simulation labs, and in a wide variety of off-campus practicum sites.

With thorough classroom training and extensive real-world experience, students from the College of Interprofessional Health and Human Services are well prepared to provide the best possible care for their clients and patients, and to face the varied challenges of their professions.
