Inclusive Education Courses - Adolescence (15 credits)

Take the following courses, plus two 3-credit electives, as approved by Program Director:

INAD 503 Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Development and Implementation Credits: 3
- 25 fieldwork hours in special education required (the aim for Grades 10-12)
INAD 520 Assessment and Program Planning for Adolescent Learners Credits: 3
- 25 fieldwork hours special education required (the aim for Grades 7-9)
INAD 640 Transition Planning and Services for Adolescents with Disabilities Credits: 3

For candidates employed in their additional certification area, they may choose to do a job-embedded (internship certificate) practicum as a 3-credit elective.

DASA/Bullying Workshop

Per NYS requirements, all candidates in teacher certification programs must show completion of this mandated workshop. Students pursuing additional/professional certification must have this in place either through a workshop that is verified on TEACH, or through a completed state-approved course linked to their initial certification program.

Inclusive Adolescence Capstone Core (3 credits)

INCL 690 and INAD 699 must be taken concurrently
