Musical Theatre - Minor

This minor is available to students in other majors who have an interest in Musical Theatre. A total of 18 credits are required to complete the Musical Theatre minor.

Required Courses

• 4 semesters of Voice (MTHA*1A or MUP*1A) - Credits: 4
• 4 semesters of Dance (at least two Musical Theatre dance classes: MTHA*205, MTHA*305, MTHA*209, MTHA*309, MTHA*113, MTHA*213, MTHA*313, MTHA*413, or MTHA*403) - Credits: 4
• THA 140 Acting I: Fundamentals   - Credits: 3
• MTHA 370 American Musical Theatre  - Credits: 3
• Production Labs (2) - Credits: 2
• Performance Course Elective - Credits: 3
  • Note - students can choose from any acting course (i.e. MTHA*480 - Rock the Audition), or MTHA 260 Musical Theatre Performance I . Audition is required to get into Musical Theatre performance courses.
