INAD 516 - Strategic Approaches to Teaching English Language Arts to Students With Disabilities in Grades 7-12


This course expands pedagogical skills in using strategic instructional strategies to address the New York State Common Core ELA curriculum and assessments for students in Grades 7-12. Linking rigorous content and strategic instructional pedagogy will support the achievement of college and career readiness by students in grades 7-12 in the areas of literature, informational text, writing and speaking and listening skills. This course will build skills and understanding of instructional technology, assistive technology, and universal design for learning as tools to support ELA content learning. 30 hours of fieldwork required.
