MUX 126 - Music/Business Sight-Singing Proficiency Exam All music students at Nazareth College (regardless of major) undergo a rigorous in-depth instruction in aural skills (sight singing and dictation) grounded in the Western European tonal tradition. The Music/Business Sight Singing Proficiency Exam is designed to demonstrate that music/business students have mastered the ability to sight-sing and take aural diction at a basic level (following two semesters of aural skills). The exam will be administered towards the end of the student’s sophomore year after they have successfully completed Sight Singing/Ear Training I (MUS 125) and Sight Singing/Ear Training II (MUS 126).
