THA 360G - PII Chinese Theatre

(Perspectives II Course) This course will focus on relevant aspects of Chinese culture as evolutionary factors which affected the development of chinese traditional and modern drama. The semester will be divided into units which will focus on different types of drama, historical background, scripts, music and acting styles. The connection between Chinese theatre and theatre of the West will be explored.
