RES 239 - PII Word and Sacrament

(Perspectives II course) Focus on the roles of myth and ritual, story and sacrament in the religious lives of persons and communities, with a focus on Christian and Catholic rituals and worship. Topics will include sacramentality; the history and practice of sacraments of initiation, reconciliation, healing, friendship, and orders; the centrality of Baptism and Eucharist as Christian sacraments; sacraments as “rites of justice.”
