PTR 659 - Neuromuscular Management I

This course will provide the student with an in depth focus on the examination process of a variety of neurological diagnoses across the lifespan. Extensive tests and measures will be performed and practiced. An exploration of current theories of CNS development, dysfunction, recovery, and aging. Topics will include current research on brain function, motor development, and specific theoretical models of neurorehabilitation (e.g. motor control, motor learning). Practical application of techniques and problem-solving situations for individuals throughout the lifespan will be provided in the laboratory sections and clinic to further illustrate clinical relevance.

Prereq: Successful completion of all prior required PT courses.
