MTH 413 - Real Analysis


An in-depth study of the real numbers and functions on the real numbers. In this course students think conceptually about calculus, actually developing the standard calculus techniques: limits, derivatives, linearization, integrals, the Mean Value Theorem, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, convergence, Taylor polynomials and series, approximation. Students will problem solve, find patterns, form questions, make conjectures, reason and prove results.

Adv Codes: BR Prereq: MTH*201W with a grade of C or better. Normal Offering Cycle: Spring
