MTH 413 - Real Analysis An in-depth study of the real numbers and functions on the real numbers. In this course students think conceptually about calculus, actually developing the standard calculus techniques: limits, derivatives, linearization, integrals, the Mean Value Theorem, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, convergence, Taylor polynomials and series, approximation. Students will problem solve, find patterns, form questions, make conjectures, reason and prove results.
Prerequisites & Notes Adv Codes: BR Prereq: MTH*201W with a grade of C or better. Normal Offering Cycle: Spring
