MTH 201 - Introduction to Mathematical Structures An introduction to advanced mathematical language, literature, composition, and proving theorems. Portrays the nature of mathematics and abstract mathematical thinking. Topics include logic, set theory, relations and functions, cardinality, the real number system. Emphasis on use of the language of mathematics and construction of clear, understandable proofs. Prerequisite for many upper division mathematics courses.
