PHA 538 - Essentials of Emergency Medicine This course utilizes a comprehensive approach to EM, encompassing anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, epidemiology, etiology, signs and symptoms. Students will acquire the clinical knowledge to create patient care plans for disorders seen in EM, including diagnostic work-up, pharmacologic treatment, preventive care strategies, patient education, and appropriate consult practices. Prerequisites: PHA 528, PHA 529, PHA 530. Course open only to students in the Physician Assistant Program.
