PHA 535 - Essentials of Pediatrics This course utilizes a comprehensive approach to pediatrics, encompassing anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, epidemiology, etiology, signs and symptoms. Students will acquire the clinical knowledge to create patient care plans for disorders seen in newborns, infants, children and adolescents, including diagnostic work-up, treatment, preventive care strategies, patient education, and appropriate referral practices. Prerequisites: PHA 528, PHA 529, PHA 530. Course open only to students in the Physician Assistant Program.
