ATR 537 - Crisis Counseling and Art Therapy

This course reviews the major theories, history, evidence-based practices, concepts of crisis intervention assessment and intervention within an art therapy lense. Students will demonstrate crisis intervention skills and illustrate ethical, legal, and cultural considerations. Emphasis is placed on the study of techniques and interventions appropriate for use in a variety of crisis situations. Prerequisites: ATR*525 HHS*651.
