PTR 516 - Applied Neuroscience Applied neuroscience takes the concepts and foundational knowledge of Neuroscience and applies these to the study of several common disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. The course focuses on understanding the location of a CNS lesion and the neurophysiological mechanisms of the underlying disease process. Modified problem-based tutorial sessions will provide a forum for student-facilitated discussions of clinical case studies on different neurological disorders. Relationships between anatomy, neurophysiology, and clinical presentations are emphasized. This course introduces students to a neurological examination of a patient. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all prior required PT courses. Additional course fee required.
