CAT 598 - Contemporary Issues in Interprofessional Team Practice Students enrolled in this course participate in an interprofessional meta-course with students from other health and human services and education professions. The purpose of this course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be effective interprofessional team members. Students are introduced to core values and competencies derived from multiple professions, which prepares them for collaborative practice in diverse settings. Required corequisite: ATR*506 (Art Therapy students only) or MTR*506/508 (Music Therapy students). This hybrid course includes synchronous and asynchronous components, as well as in-person and virtual class periods. The culmination of this course is an in-person simulation day, in which medical and educational scenarios are explored with live actors to provide a safe space to practice patient and family interactions as an interprofessional team.
