HIS 330 - Writing Off Imperialism: Modern Southeast Asia Through Anti-Imperial Writings Southeast Asia became a center for European, American, and Japanese imperial designs and experimentation in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. This course explores the history and politics of modern Southeast Asia through anti-imperial literature, essays, and treatises.
