Students are introduced to core values and competencies derived from multiple professions, which prepares them for collaborative practice in diverse settings. Instructor consent required, with pre-requisites to be determined by each chair or program director. This hybrid course includes synchronous and asynchronous components, as well as in-person and virtual class periods. The culmination of this course is an in-person simulation day, in which medical and educational scenarios are explored with live actors to provide a safe space to practice patient and family interactions as an interprofessional team.
