ENGL 239 - Hitting the Road: Fictions of American Mobility

(DEIB) This literature course will focus on short stories and novels that in various ways take up American ideas of movement and mobility, in order to address a crucial question: why are ideas about mobility so central to our national mythmaking, and how have those ideas changed over time?
