DAN 103 - West African Dance Forms

This course will introduce students to the dynamic rhythm and dance traditions of Guinea, West Africa. Accompanied by live music, students will learn the coalescence of dundun rhythms, footwork, and movements, as well as origins and cultural significance for several rhythms from Guinea.
