DAN 355 - The Art and Theory of Dance Pedagogy


Dance Pedagogy encompasses the study of philosophies of education as well as the content and methods for dance that flow from educational beliefs. This course is intended to expand students’ development of a personal pedagogy and philosophy of teaching appropriate for multiple dance education and dance training settings,and diverse populations, ages, and abilities, including K-12, community, private studios, and higher education sectors.
