SWK 363 - Parenting in Diverse Family Systems Parenting practices have long been the subject of sociological and psychological inquiry. There is greater recognition of the role of cultural underpinnings, living arrangements, family formation/development; grappling with the notion of the “traditional family” and similar concepts at the societal level and within the scientific community.
