MUX 132 - Music/Business Piano Proficiency Exam The piano is the musician’s instrument, and as such, all music students at Nazareth (regardless of major) undergo a rigorous in-depth instruction in basic piano skills. The Music/Business Piano Proficiency Exam is designed to demonstrate that music/business students have mastered the ability to play piano at a basic level (following two semesters of class piano instruction). At the conclusion of both Class Piano I (MUG 131) and Class Piano II (MUG 132) all students perform a jury examination to demonstrate what they have learned for the semester. The jury forms for Class Piano II (MUG 132) will serve as the Piano Proficiency exam for Music/Business students. The students will be expected to play at a certain level on their jury performance following the completion of Class Piano II in order to pass their piano proficiency exam. Prereq: MUG*131. Coreq: MUG*132.
Prerequisites & Notes Prereq: MUG*131. Coreq: MUG*132. Term cycle: fall and spring. Yearly cycle: all years.
