(Perspectives II Global course) An examination of the cultures of Africa from the prehistoric period to the present. Overview of the geography and history, and key socioeconomic and political structures of the continent in the pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial periods. Emphasis on the historical, political, economic, and cultural ties between the peoples of Africa and the rest of the world. Course Codes: BR.
