AHI 484 - Art History Internship II

This program offers art students of senior status the opportunity for supervised field experience in the area for which they are primarily prepared (i.e. museums, galleries, graphics, and craft studios). The student will spend at least 10 weeks (8 weeks in the summer) for a total of at least 120 hours of time at an internship site. Supervised placement provides experience appropriate to the student’s knowledge skills and interests. In addition to the on-site activities students complete reflective assignments and participate in three seminar discussions to connect their experiential learning with their academics. Performance evaluation assessment of the internship and self-assessment of learning occur at the end of the semester. Students can apply for pre-existing internships or consult with Director of Internship and their home department to discuss a new opportunity. All college policies related to internships apply. Course Codes: G. Prereqs: AHI 483.
