Inclusive Childhood Education (grades 1-6), Changing Developmental Level

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will be competent in the subject matter they will teach.
  2. Students will demonstrate the knowledge to be successful teachers.
  3. Students will be able to implement effective instruction for diverse learners in various settings at the childhood level.
  4. Students will be able to critically reflect on their teaching practice and the profession.

Inclusive Education Courses - Childhood (6 credits)


Childhood Education Courses (12 credits)


Take the following courses plus one 3-credit Literacy Specialist or Inclusive Childhood Education Elective:

DASA/Bullying Workshop


Per NYS requirements, all candidates in teacher certification programs must show completion of this mandated workshop. Students pursuing additional/professional certification must have this in place either through a workshop that is verified on TEACH, or through a completed state-approved course linked to their initial certification program.

Practicum and Seminar (3 credits)
