Chemistry Major with Inclusive Early Childhood/Childhood Education Major

Students seeking initial certification at the early childhood and childhood levels may double major in Chemistry and Inclusive Early Childhood/Childhood Education. Students in this double major are required to have a minimum overall GPA of 2.7 before moving into INCH coursework which typically begins fall semester of the junior year.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Students completing courses in CAS at Nazareth College will communicate effectively through critical reading, writing, and oral presentation skills.
- Students completing the program in chemistry or biochemistry at Nazareth College will demonstrate the ability to communicate the concepts and results of experiments through effective written and oral communication skills.
- Students completing the program in chemistry or biochemistry at Nazareth College will be able to understand the objective of experiments, properly execute experiments, and accurately record and analyze results.
- Students completing the program in chemistry or biochemistry at Nazareth College will be able to demonstrate mastery of core principles within the major sub-disciplines of chemistry: analytical, biochemistry, inorganic, organic and physical (SLO #1 for dept).

Chemistry Core
All students majoring in a program of the Department of Chemistry take the following courses: Foreign Language Requirement
