The biology specialization is designed for students with a strong background in biology and chemistry. Students with a desire to possess a more in-depth knowledge of contemporary science, including the formulation and testing of falsifiable hypotheses, may choose this specialization.

required for a Biology specialization:

In addition to the required courses listed above, Biology specialization
students select three upper-level biology courses (200 level or
higher),
of which two courses must be laboratory courses.
