MUS 373 - Orchestral Conducting

A study of advanced conducting and string orchestra rehearsal techniques. The primary focus of the course is on developing a more advanced conducting technique, score study/reading techniques, and identifying/correcting problems in preparation for an ensemble performance. Advanced instrumental score reading exercises and conducting techniques are applied to actual rehearsals. Course Codes: AFH. Prereq: MUS 272.
