LGS 410 - African Americans & The Law This seminar course will provide students with an understanding of how the law and state control were used to oppress African Americans, and how African Americans and other civil rights advocates used the law as a tool to gain citizenship recognition, and seek equal treatment under the law, and equal access to society.
