ADOL 410 - Principles of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment for Diverse Secondary Learners


A foundation study of the dimensions of teaching and learning in middle and high school classrooms. Topics include diversity of learners, learning theory, differentiated instructional planning, assessment, New York State Learning Standards and best practices for the inclusive, constructivist classroom. Course codes: HM. Corequisite: ADOL*030. Open only to Inclusive Adolescence Education candidates. 45-hours of fieldwork required in greater Rochester area secondary schools during daytime instruction. All placements are made by Program Director, Office of Clinical Experiences and Partnerships. Students provide their own transportation.
