EDU 515 - Aesthetic Education for Educators


The primary purpose of this course is to provide students with opportunities to learn, and practice the skills needed to integrate aesthetic education into their classroom teaching. This course promotes the integration of the performing, visual, and literary arts into the primary and elementary classroom through participation in coursework, workshops, seminars, group projects, and attendance at performances. Students are required to produce, perform, and evaluate works of art in the areas of creative movement, drama, music, and the visual arts, and to develop the ability and confidence required in order to engage their students in the artistic process.
