AVCD 365 - Issues in Contemporary Design This is a senior level capstone course for VCD majors that will examine a range of contemporary issues, themes, and debates that effect designers today. Topics will be examined through reading, writing, lectures, discussions, and presentations. Issues discussed include social media and participatory culture; entrepreneurship and innovation; sustainability and usability; business contexts; ethical and legal issues; design trends; cultural perceptions; social activist design; the future of graphic design; design inquiry and process; and others.
