PSY 353 - Principles of Psychological Interventions

Course examines principles and techniques of psychological intervention. Topics include the history of clinical psychology, the therapeutic relationship, the role of assessment in clinical practice, and approaches to intervention with emphasis on empirically-supported treatments for specific clinical disorders. Issues related to ethics, culture, and the economics of treatment are discussed throughout the course. Course Codes: HBR. Prereq: PSY.Q*110, plus PSY*343 or SWK*323.
