ANT 320G - Peoples and Cultures of Africa An examination of the cultures of Africa from the prehistoric period to the present. Overview of the geography and history, and key socioeconomic and political structures of the continent in the pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial periods. Emphasis on the historical, political, economic, and cultural ties between the peoples of Africa and the rest of the world. Course Codes: BR. Prereq: Any one of the following: ANT.Q 101, ANT 102, ECO 101, SOC.Q 101, PSC.Q 101 or PSC 312, or permission of the instructor. Multicultural Studies Minor course.
