COMM 342 - Popular Music and Emotion


This course explores the enduring connection between popular music and emotion, covering topics such as the use of music after tragedy/disaster, how individuals use popular music to regulate emotion, identity formation and popular music, and fandom. This class approaches the subject from a mass communication/media studies approach, with a focus on media psychology and media effects research. Course Codes: BR.
