ENGS 101 - Introduction to the Writing Process

This course introduces students to the concept of writing as a recursive process with discrete stages of development. Through the term, students will gain instruction on crafting and developing effective college-level written communication skills. Students will also be given many opportunities for practice writing, paying particular attention to rhetorical issues of purpose, audience, and writing occasion. In addition, to complement writing instruction and practice, the course underscores the importance of reading in our lives.
