BIO.Q 103 - Biological Systems I


(Perspectives Enduring Questions) How do scientists use the scientific method to understand the processes that occur in living systems? This course explores this question through intensive study of cellular life forms using observation, scientific logic and hypotheses. Topics include biochemistry, bioenergetics, genetics and cell structure and function. Required for Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, and Toxicology majors.

Prerequisites & Notes
Course Codes: ACR. Prereq: A score of 85 or above on the New York State Regents Biology Exam or a grade of B- or better in a Nazareth College non-majors Biology Department course or equivalent course from another accredited institution. Coreq: BIO.Q 103L. This P-EQ course counts as a PI and G course. Normal Offering Cycle: Fall (plus one distance learning section In Summer A session and one traditional section in Spring).
