MED 503 - Music Theory and Musicianship A study
of advanced topics in music theory
including a review of specific
harmonic practices.
Through the analysis of works
from music
literature, the knowledge,
skills, attitudes and
appreciation will further the
development of an
expressive musicianship. The
method will be based
on an approach that includes
writing, analysis,
and aural work. As part of the
course each student
is required to prepare a topic
presentation in
music theory that is adjusted
to the level that
the student is teaching in the
elementary or
secondary school system.
