HIS 358 - Asian-American History (DEIB) This course explores the long, rich, and complicated history of Asians in North America. It explores, but moves past, common topics, such as internment, exclusion, and Orientalism. It examines and celebrates the diverse stories of Hmong, Filipino, Indian, Chinese, Nepalese, Japanese, Burmese, Karen, and other Asian Americans from early migrations to the present.
