HHS 308 - Foundations of Nutrition


Course provides an introductory exploration of nutrition principals. Students will examine the fundamental concepts of nutrition, including macronutrients & micronutrients, digestion & metabolism, & the role of diet in health & disease prevention. Emphasis placed on developing critical thinking skills to evaluate nutrition-related info & make informed dietary choices. Course Codes: AC. Prerequisites: BIO*141/141L or BIO*211/211L, plus BIO*318/318L. All prerequisite courses require a minimum grade of C or higher.
