THA 240 - Acting II


This course will further develop a student actor’s personal acting process. This course will delve deeply into acting technique, via monologue and scene work, preparing students for advanced acting courses. Students will learn the fundamental techniques needed in the development of dramatic tension within the imaginary world. They will experiment with character building, focusing on behavior and language, endeavoring to create relationships with other characters and imagined ones. Students will deepen their craft, by finding more layers, working on transitions and acting between the lines. Course Codes: AC. Prereq: THA*140 or permission of instructor.
